Damond Motorsports Oil Catch Can kits come with everything needed for an optimized Oil Catch Can system. An oil catch can is, in a sense, a filter for the positive crankcase ventilation system. The oil catch can(OCC for short) is used to tap and contain blow-by oils and condenced crankcase gases, that would otherwise flow throught the PCV system back into the intake tract, and allows for drainng of these fluids remotely. With the addition of an OCC kit, blow-by oils and gasses are routed to the OCC allowing them to be caputred. This prevents the blow-by from entering the intake system, where it would otherwise contaminate the clean air entering the engine. Cleaner air leads to better combustion, more power, better fuel ecnomy, less detonation, and less oily build-up.

Only high quility components are used in the Damond Motorsports OCC kits. Our OCC kits come tailored to fit your Mazdaspeed perfectly, for a no-hastle, quick and simple instillation. Each OCC kit includes a check valve, to prevent boost from possibly entering the crankcase, via the prone to leaking OEM PCV valve. The check valve allows for a 1-way opperation of the OCC system, keeping everything under vacuum, to better help vent the crankcase. 
Included in each Damond Motorsports OCC kit:
-A Damond Motorsports OCC 
-Quick-opening/high-flowing check valve, assembled/sealed with fittings
-Pre-cut oil and vacuum resistant hoses (black, blue, or red)
-Location specific bracket, and mounting hardware
-Slim stainless steel hose clamps
-Plenty of zip ties
The DM OCC features:
-Fully welded external aluminum structure. Welded on ports for a nice clean look, and to keep weight at a minimum. 
-Layers and layers and layers of perforated baffle plates, allowing a large surface area for blow-by vapors to latch onto and keep the intake tract clean. The bottom layer features an oil scraper. Blow-by is forced directly onto the scraper, while the air is pushed around the sides of the can to the back of the lower chamber. The air is then drawn up diagonally through 3 more perforated plates, before it exits the top chamber. 
-A super easy to use high flowing drain valve(drain plug on the MS6 location 1 kits). 
-Optional DM partial VTA valve and filter OCC set-up(recommended for high boost applications, not compatible with location 1 kits). 
-Powder coated for enhanced durability.
With all Damond Motorsports OCC kits, you have many options. For the Mazdaspeeds there are different mounting locations. This way you can pick the location that works best for you, and your vehicle’s pre-existing modifications. You also have the choice of 3 different possible hose colors: Black, Blue, and Red.

Location 1:
-Mounted on the horn bracket
-Allows space for some intercooler kits
-Easy location for draining outside the vehicle, drain plug is standard with the DM OCC
-Partial VTA kit will not fit in this location
-Front bumper does NOT need to be removed for installation
Location 2:
-Mounted below factory intake/short-ram intakes
-Designed to be used with all intakes, including the factory air box
-Easy to drain, the drain valve can be reached from above the engine
-Allows space for most intercooler piping, except for the CP-E FMIC

Great product

install was pretty straight forward and it does exactly what it's supposed to. looks pretty sleek aswell.

A must have

A must have product for preventive maintenance and to keep the intake as clean as possible. Build quality is great and the install instructions are clear.

Some fitment notes (Mount location 2; with VTA):
- The hose from the OCC to the intake manifold is a bit to short. Might fit when followed the guide on how to route it, but since I already had the intake manifold off I just did the easiest path in my eyes.
- Mounting location 2 does not fit with the VTA option with the stock airbox/bracket. So keep that in mind.

I considered rigging my own, but this kit fit perfectly. Quality product as always from Damond!

Gives me an extra reassurance my car will last longer

Oil catch cans are a must on these cars, just like any other DI turbo car. In my opinion it looks like the best one on the market, install wasn't super hard but I got a bit confused on some things, I was able to call DM and Matt on the phone was super nice and was able to walk me through it. I'd give 100 stars if I could
