Anti-Lift Front Control Arm Rear Bushings with Offset Caster

The Mazdaspeed3 is an extremely fun-to-drive car with one exception. They have a well-known tendency toward torque steer during spirited driving because of their front-wheel-drive layout.

The new Powerflex Front Control Arm Rear Bushing Anti-Lift & Caster Offset part is engineered to provide revised suspension geometry for vastly improved handling and responsiveness while virtually eliminating the fun-killing torque steer.

Premium Hardware

Available with Street (Shore 80A) or Race/Black Series (Shore 95A) bushing material and CNC-machined aluminum mounts and associated hardware.

Improved Geometry

Tire contact with road surfaces is maximized anti-lift geometry and 1 degree of caster offset for improved grip, decreased understeer, and enhanced drive confidence. 7.5mm anti-lift properties.

Stock rubber control arm bushings give a disconnected and mushy feel to the front suspension, especially when worn, as the bushing deflects more than it should. You get sloppy steering, vibrations, and poor handling which makes the car feel unstable. These urethane bushings are stiffer than stock rubber and will not deflect as much. This helps keep the alignment in check with less variation. The car feels more planted and confidence-inspiring. And a lifetime warranty means you'll likely never have to pay for another bushing ever again!

Free Sleeve Welding When Bought from Damond Motorsports - if needed

While the sleeves are a press-fit onto the LCA, they may begin to work their way off the LCA because they are a two-piece design. We now TIG weld the sleeves and washers together to prevent this from happening. Best part... we offer this at no additional cost! The sleeves are now updated and may no longer require welding. We still go through each kit we sell and verify if welding is needed.

Better than I could have hoped for

The Bushings that I have installed are nothing short of transformational to the handling and feel for my car.

Quality and say goodbye to torque steer!

These little bushings have all but deleted the torque steer and uncertainty with the speed3 steering!
They’re a breeze to install and look excellent once on!
Some installation instructions would likely help others when thinking about getting them but other than that I’ve purchased everything from the intake to the egr to mounts from Damond an I love every single product !

Best simple, bang for your buck trackability upgrade, next to tires.

From the other two reviews on this item, I already had high hopes on these making a major difference. The parts feel premium, nice tight tolerance polyurethane bushings, stainless inserts weren't scratched or dinged, welding was great, I didn't even need a press to install the new bushings - a bench vice is quick and makes it easier to get everything fully seated and inserted. (Removing the old ones is a different story. I ended up using a wheel bearing on a press under the front bushings with a 14mm socket to remove those, but the rears needed to be destructfully removed, so either plan on pressing on the rear bushing until it pops it's fluid and rips the rubber out, or rupture the fluid filled bushing and cut it with a thick enough cutoff wheel or something so the fluid doesn't heat up and pop. PS get the front poly bushings as well with these, if you're spending $450+ on rear bushings it'd be dumb not to go for an extra $45 for the front bushings as well.)

After installation my alignment was about perfect, didn't mess with my toe much if it all, and the caster spacers increase your caster angle from 3.2° to about 4.2° roughly. My lateral grip around turns seems to have almost doubled. Absolutely worth the money for cornering alone. I had the biggest dumb smile on my face after every turn for a good 2 days. Overall the car just feels generally more nimble, planted, and my torque steer does seem to have improved a little, although I don't really notice or look out for it as it doesn't bother me much in the first place.

In summary, well worth the price, buy the fronts too (damond has a camber adjustable front bushing kit too although I decided to go with normal bushings), and I'm now considering doing my rears too. All I need now are sway bars and end links and I'm set for the track!

helped more then I expected!!

If you have a high HP Speed then get this it helps so much! front end is more planted on launches and hard accelerations , cornering is greatly improved, Turn in is sharper now as well no added noise or vibration to the vehicle. install is actually very easy as the bushings are already installed in the bracket. only took a day with hand tools to do it. I didn't have to use a press!
