These caliper bushings replace the soft factory rubber slide pin bushings that are on the rear of all 10th generation Honda Civics. The factory rubber bushings allows the caliper to deflect when the brake pedal is depressed, resulting in poor brake wear and a less than ideal brake pedal feel.

Our bushings are made from a bronze alloy and machined to tight tolerances to keep the slide pins centered and the caliper true to the brake rotor. They are sealed on both sides, vs the factory rubber bushing which is only sealed on the back, this reduces the wear on caliper over its life and extends the interval that the pin grease needs to be reapplied. This results in a brake caliper that flexes considerably less which gives a multitude of improvements such as:

  • More even brake pad and rotor wear
  • More consistent and firm brake pedal feel
  • Improved brake release due to less deflection
  • Longer pin grease life due to improved sealing
  • Longer brake pad and rotor life

These improvements make a noticeable difference and every 10th generation Honda Civic can benefit from it, whether you're on racing on track or just daily driving your vehicle.

What's included:

  • 4 bronze brake caliper bushings
  • 4 stainless steel snap rings
  • 4 high temp silicone dust boots
  • 4 spare replacement seals

Amazing Improvement for the Price!

Item shipped fast, was packaged well, the instruction video was clear, and install was simple.

Tip for Install: Insert the slide pins into the bushing before seating the snap ring on the bushing (differing from the video) if your brake line is in the way like mine.
My passenger side brake line was routed in the way from the factory, so the pin could not be inserted fully. To remedy this, insert the slide pin first while you can move the bushing freely, and put the snap ring on afterward.

I threw these on my FL5 and was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in pedal stiffness on stock pads, rotors, lines, and brake fluid. I purchased this in preparation for tracking my car, mostly to alleviate the pad taper issue.

I am a technician and track junkie, so I've done a lot of brake bleeding. The pedal feel is noticeably firmer towards the bottom of the pedal stroke. It is especially noticeable on sudden stops.

For comparison, I'd say it's a step above a good brake flush that removes a lot of air from the rear calipers, while also swapping to Castrol SRF fluid and stainless lines.

Must have upgrade

I've had these on the rear of my car for a bit over a year now and I really should've bought those when they came out. Before putting that on, I went through 3 sets of pads and rotors in 5 years, rotors were rusting and galling, pads wore un-evenly. I did a brake service in the fall and after 9 months on the car, the brakes looked barely broken in. That was about 20k km of driving and 10 autox events. The rotors and pads are worn evenly and the same across the rotor surface. I couldn't believe the drastic change these made. I'm definitely not buying brakes every other year now.
